I have read that Chrysanthemums have gone out of vogue in home gardens, but obviously not in Tasmania where the annual Chrysanthemum & Floral Art Show is one of the highlights of the Hobart Horticultural Society’s Calendar.

Unfortunately I missed seeing it last weekend but I have this pink one and also a pretty yellow one with rusty green foliage growing in my garden.

Chrysanthemums are synonymous with Mothers Day in Australia – which is today so Happy Mothers Day to my mum and all the other mums out there – have a lovely day!
